i know this sounds crazy

but the english names are created after everything is already made

they have no bearing on any of the actual content or anything

they are made so far after the creation of these things it’s kinda funny seeing people draw conclusions from them

they don’t mean anything to gamefreak really

This. The pokemon english names have NO INFLUENCE on the design, inspiration, or creation process of the pokemon. They may sometimes be similar to the japanese names or reflect the inspirations, but they don’t have bearing on them.
